Kishan Appeals to Graduate Voters to Select BJP

Kishan Reddy clarified that the BJP was not opposed to a BC caste census and, in fact, advocates for an increase in BC reservations.

Nizamabad: BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy appealed to graduate voters on Saturday to support the BJP in the upcoming Legislative Council elections, asserting that the party would raise key public issues if elected.

Addressing campaign gatherings in Nizamabad and Bodhan, Kishan Reddy reacted to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s challenge, stating he is willing to engage in a debate provided the Congress first delivers on at least 20 per cent of its poll promises.

Kishan Reddy accused the CM of neglecting governance in favour of focusing on the Congress high command. He further criticised both the BRS and Congress for leading Telangana from a surplus budget into a debt trap.

“The inefficient rule of the Congress harmed real estate in the state. I am ready for a debate with the CM if he first fulfills his poll promises,” he said

Kishan Reddy remarked, adding that the public is increasingly aware of the Congress party’s unfulfilled promises. He called for voters to elect BJP candidates in all three MLC seats to establish a constructive opposition.

Kishan Reddy clarified that the BJP was not opposed to a BC caste census and, in fact, advocates for an increase in BC reservations. However, he vowed to oppose including Muslims under BC status. He expressed confidence that the BJP will eventually form the Telangana government independently.

BJP MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, district president K. Dinesh Kumar, senior leader Medapati Prakash Reddy, and others also took part in the campaign events.
