Kishan Confident of BJP Win in MLC Pollcs
Kishan Reddy also indicated that the MLC elections, along with upcoming local body polls, could set the stage for a BJP win in the next Assembly elections.

Adilabad: BJP state president and Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy expressed strong confidence on Sunday that the party’s candidates contesting for two teachers MLC and one graduates MLC seats will win all three positions.
Addressing meetings with party leaders and graduates in Adilabad town and Umdam village in Tamsi mandal, Kishan Reddy sharply criticised the Congress government for failing to implement the six guarantees promised during the elections. He claimed that various sections — including unemployed youth, women, farmers, businessmen, realtors, and representatives from the IT and pharmaceutical sectors — are disillusioned with the current state policies.
Kishan Reddy noted, “The exploitation and corruption were similar under both the BRS and Congress regimes, yet the people chose change with Congress. However, little has changed,” referring to the lack of significant policy shifts despite electoral mandates.
Highlighting a historical trend where BJP candidates have consistently won MLC seats, Kishan Reddy expressed confidence that with the support of the unemployed youth and teachers, the party will secure victory in all three seats. He contrasted the Central government’s achievements, such as the extensive development of national highways in Telangana over the past decade, with the state government’s failure to meet long-standing demands like the implementation of the Pay Revision Commission’s recommendations and providing a monthly stipend for unemployed youth.
Kishan Reddy also indicated that the MLC elections, along with upcoming local body polls, could set the stage for a BJP win in the next Assembly elections. He announced that the party has already established village-level committees and municipalities, with plans underway to form district and state committees and appoint a new state president.
BJP candidate Anji Reddy, contesting in the graduates MLC constituency, shared that educated unemployed youth have openly shown their support. “I am committed to developing government school facilities and will allocate my salary for that purpose if elected,” he said.
The event was attended by several senior BJP figures, including Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh, Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar, former MLC Ramachandraiah, party president Brahmanand of Adilabad, Ritesh Rathod of Nirmal, and senior leaders Enrala Nagesh and Arigela Nageshwar.
