Hyderabad: Supporters of Telangana BJP turned in large numbers to welcome the Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy at Begumpet airport here on Thursday.
Kishan Reddy got a rousing welcome at the airport from the party supporters and cadre, wearing scarves and flags. The environs of the Begumpet airport turned into saffron with the cadre putting up flags, banners and vinyl sheet posters to welcome Kishan Reddy.
He came to the city in a special flight after assuming charge as Union Minister of Coal. A rally was taken out from Begumpet airport to Telangana BJP State office in the name of “Salute Telangana”. Holding flags, the supporters took part in the rally enthusiastically.
Standing in a van, Kishan Reddy and other newly elected MPs – Eatala Rajender, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy waved to the supporters, who raised “Jai BJP… Jai Jai BJP…,” slogans.
The rally was concluded after passing through the main thoroughfares of Rasoolpura crossroads, Paradise Circle, Rangunj, Musheerabad crossroads, Narayanguda crossroads, Old MLA quarters crossroads, Basheerbagh flyover, Abids Circle, Nampally crossroads and BJP State office.
