Kishan Reddy to party workers: Take part in relief and rehabilitation works
Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy urged party workers to take care and involve themselves in relief operations in view of incessant rains for the last two days and heavy rain alert for the next 24 hours given by the Meteorological Department. He extend the party workers to extend all possible help to those trapped in rain water, particularly in several low lying areas. He also made an appeal to people not to venture out unless it is very important, particularly old aged ones and children as many nalas, streams and drains overflowing with the flood waters.
Kishan Reddy also urged the officials and staff of different departments to coordinate among themselves and extend the relief works to needy people. The power lines have been disrupted in many areas, impacting the power supply. The water from Nalas, drainage system and ponds, had hit the houses and huts of many people in low lying areas.
The tanks have breached at many places. In these conditions, the staff of government departments work with coordination on a war footing basis to see that no loss of lives takes place. He also asked the BJP leaders and activists to assist the officials in their relief and rehabilitation works.
