KLIS Judicial Panel to Resume Probe
Hyderabad: Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose, head of the judicial commission of inquiry into various aspects of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme’s (KLIS) three barrages, is expected to resume the probe after the government ordered extension of its term by two more months.
The state government has given time till December 31 to submit its report. This is the third extension of the commission’s term. Initially, the government set up the commission and gave time till June 30. Subsequently, the term was extended by two more months twice, first up to August 31, and then up to October 31.
Justice Ghose is expected to return to the city on November 21 after which he is expected to resume the public hearings of present and former state government officials on the construction of Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages of the Kaleshwaram project.
