KTR, Revanth on the Same Side: Bandi Sanjay
Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar charged that BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao had colluded with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, which was why the Congress government had not taken any action against him even after he was found to be the main accused in several scandals such as the Formula E race scam, rave parties, drug use and Kaleshwaram project scam.
He recalled how the BRS government had got Revanth Reddy arrested on the day of his daughter’s wedding day just because a drone flew over the farmhouse of Rama Rao in Janwada. Sanjay criticised the government for not arresting Rama Rao.
On Rama Rao's remarks that Revanth Reddy and Sanjay were hand in glove, the BJP leader said they had fought relentlessly to dethrone the KCR government and now stood on opposite sides.
Sanjay referred to the recent Janwada farmhouse raids and said that Vijay Madduri, who was found with evidence, and Raj Pakala, the brother-in-law of Rama Rao and mastermind of the rave party, were let go with petty cases. Even when all the media said that Rama Rao was present at the rave party, the government did not care, Sanjay alleged.
The Union minister noted that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had called the DGP when his son was caught in a rave party, but never cared when BRS workers were arrested by the police, and this showed that family came first for the BRS president.
“When people are struggling with several issues, KCR is taking rest comfortably in his farmhouse. How can the public trust such leaders who only appear during the elections,” Sanjay asked, adding: “The BRS has become so weak that they are unable to find candidates even for the Graduate and MLC elections.”
On Revanth Reddy's foot march in the Musi riverbed areas in Nalgonda, Sanjay suggested that he walk in the HYDRAA-affected areas along the Musi riverbed. This would truly make the Chief Minister aware of people’s suffering, Sanjay said.
Sanjay visited a place of worship that was recently vandalised by some unidentified persons at the Airport Colony near Shamshabad and condemned the statements by police officials that mentally unstable persons were involved in the attack.
