KTR says ready for probe, says govt hiding the truth

Hyderabad:Former minister and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday declared that he will face the ACB case against him in connection with the conduct of Formula E-car race in Hyderabad, adding that “ACB has no right to be a part of this investigation because there is no corruption. Whatever it is, we will face it legally and politically.”

Addressing a press conference, Rama Rao alleged that the government led Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was hiding a lot of information about the entire issue of the cancelled Formula E race in Hyderabad.

“The `55-crore paid to Formula E was transmitted legally in two installments, on his instructions by IAS officer Arvind Kumar from the HMDA account, and the money was with Formula E. The government is not saying anything about the around `74 lakh licence fee for the event the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs India has been asking it to take back,” he said.

“We paid the money, they said they got the money. The licence fee is ready to be sent back. The government is hiding all this. There is no corruption. This is a cheap attempt by the Revanth Reddy government. That is why I said let us discuss this in the Assembly but Revanth Reddy does not have the courage to do so,” Rama Rao said.
