KTR seeks time to appear before ED
HYDERABAD: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, who was asked to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in the Formula E Race irregularities case, has sought time till the judgment on a petition filed before the High court.
The ED had served notices to the former minister asking him to appear on January 7 for questioning in connection with the case.
Rao responded on Monday and sent an email to ED officials seeking time to appear before the agency till the judgement is out on his petition filed before the High Court seeking quashing the FIR registered by the ACB. The court heard the arguments and has reserved the judgment.
ED officials also served notices to senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former HMDA employee B.L.N. Reddy asking them to appear before them.
However, both sought two weeks' time. ED officials, however, have not decided on the next date following Rama Rao's request seeking more time for appearance.
