KTR Slams Congress on Rythu Bandhu Scheme

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of diverting the attention of the people by raking up unrelated issues. He claimed, in an open letter on Sunday, that the Congress had spread lies on the Rythu Bandhu scheme in the Assembly.

Rama Rao claimed that the government had avoided answering critical questions on Rythu Bandhu. “The Congress government’s plans to align the Rythu Bharosa with the central PM-Kisan guidelines will deny benefits to half of Telangana’s farmers,” he claimed. “This is a deliberate attempt to cut benefits and betray the farming community.”

He claimed the Congress’ allegations that Rythu Bandhu funds were diverted to real estate as “baseless propaganda aimed at discrediting farmers and the previous government’s initiatives.”

Highlighting the achievements of the BRS government, Rama Rao criticised the Congress government for failing to fulfill its pre-election promise of giving Rs 15,000 per acre annually under Rythu Bharosa.
