KUDA to Auction Plots in O City on Jan. 5
Warangal: The Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) is set to auction plots in the centrally located O City venture on January 5. Extensive promotional campaigns, including large hoardings and flex banners, have been launched to attract buyers from across the state.
Started during the previous BRS government, KUDA developed the O City project on 117 acres of land formerly owned by Azam Jahi Mills. Named after Orugallu, the project features plots intended for commercial complexes, malls, hospitals, and supermarkets. Initially announced in September to sell 1,000 and 2,000 square yard plots under Layout DP Number 36/2007, KUDA has now revised the auction to include smaller plots of 200 and 300 square yards.
The O City venture is highly sought after due to its strategic location, just half a km from Warangal Railway Station and the district main bus station. Proximity to prominent residential areas, the Warangal East MLA’s camp office, the new Warangal Collectorate, and the main road to Kakatiya Mega Textile Park has significantly increased land values in the area.
Prices for plots in O City have surged from Rs 3,000 per square yard eight years ago to over Rs 1 lakh per square yard today. This substantial increase has driven KUDA to prepare for a new round of sales, capitalising on the area’s growing demand and enhanced infrastructure.
Interested buyers are encouraged to participate in the auction and take advantage of the prime location and rising property values in Warangal’s O City venture.
