Kumbh Mela return ends in fatal crash: Sangareddy pilgrims killed in Varanasi

Zaheerabad irrigation department executive engineer Venkata Rami Reddy, his wife Vilasini, and their driver, Malla Reddy killed in accident.

Hyderabad: A tragic road accident in Varanasi claimed the lives of three pilgrims from Sangareddy, Telangana, who were returning from the Kumbh Mela.

The collision, involving a car and a tipper truck, resulted in the immediate deaths of Zaheerabad irrigation department executive engineer Venkata Rami Reddy, his wife Vilasini, and their driver, Malla Reddy. Three other passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries and are receiving medical treatment. The accident occurred in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the death of Sangareddy district residents in a road accident in Varanasi.

He directed officials to coordinate with Uttar Pradesh government authorities to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical treatment and immediate assistance.

The Chief Minister extended his condolences to the families of the deceased.
