Kuwait-Stranded Telangana Man Found in Saudi Arabia
Hyderabad: The Indian Embassy in Kuwait said that Rathod Namdev, the Mudhole-based man who was forced to work as a camel herder and had pleaded for rescue, was now in Saudi Arabia.
Namdev, a native of Ruvvi in Nirmal district, had recorded a video from the Kuwaiti desert, appealing to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for help. He claimed he had been forced to herd camels after being sent to Kuwait for a housekeeping job by a Delhi-based recruiting agency.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait confirmed on X: "We have been able to establish contact with him. According to him, he is now in Saudi Arabia. The embassy, in coordination with our Embassy in Saudi Arabia, will provide the necessary assistance to him." Efforts are underway to secure his return home.
