Hyderabad: Investigators probing the incident related to the attack on the Vikarabad district Collector Prateek Jain and other revenue department officials at Lagcherla a few days ago found that it was a preplanned act and the perpetrators attended liquor party for three consecutive days at Kosgi in the district before executing their plan.
The police stumbled upon after getting information about this during the questioning of Suresh, who was one the key accused persons involved in the incident. Following instructions allegedly from the BRS leaders, Suresh and his accomplices hatched a plan to create problems during the public hearing to be convened by the district Collector and the revenue department officials for the proposed pharma plant.
Suresh and others discussed the plan for three days during the liquor party conducted in Kosgi and decided to execute it successfully during the visit of the Collector. As per their plan, Suresh and others took Jain to the village in the name of interacting with villagers.
As a few irate villagers started arguing with him, Suresh’s accomplices turned violent and started attacking the Collector and his vehicle. The police immediately came to the rescue of the Collector and other officials who were accompanying him and shifted them from the premises.
Villagers went on rampage and pelted stones on the vehicles. The investigators are now focusing on who gave funds to Suresh to host a liquor party for three days before resorting to attack in Lagcherla village. They were also examining the call data records of Suresh and his associates allegedly involved in the incident.
