Hyderabad:A land dispute involving Andhra Pradesh BJP MP C.M. Ramesh and a resident in Banjara Hills over a property said to be worth several crores flared up on Friday, leading to the police registering a case. MP Ramesh and the resident, identified as Shivanarayana, are locked in a dispute over ownership and construction activity on a prime land parcel in Banjara Hills.
The issue gained attention after allegations surfaced that illegal construction was allegedly being carried out on the property. Shivanarayana has reportedly approached a court claiming that construction activity was being undertaken illegally on land belonging to him.
Tension escalated when members of both sides allegedly engaged in an argument at the site. Following complaints and counter-complaints, Banjara Hills police registered cases and initiated an inquiry into the matter.
Police clarified that the case was not recent and was registered during the last week of March. Officials said the matter remained under investigation and that both claims over the disputed land are being examined. Police added that necessary legal action would be taken based on the outcome of the probe.
