Hyderabad:A special fast-track court in LB Nagar convicted 27-year-old Mainam Kumar to three years of rigorous imprisonment for harassing a minor girl. Kumar was fined an amount of Rs 5,000 while the victim was awarded Rs 1 lakh in compensation.
The Nagole police registered the case in 2023 following a complaint by the victim. The court found Kumar guilty of stalking and inappropriate conduct under the Pocso Act and voyeurism, stalking, and criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code. Kumar was taken into custody and was sent to jail.
