Leopard Kills Two Calves in Annapurna

Abbapur, located along the Nizamabad-Basar road, has now become a concern for villagers, who fear further leopard movement in the area.

Nizamabad: A leopard killed two calves in Abbapur village of Navipet mandal late on Thursday night, triggering fear among locals. The attack occurred in the cattle shed of farmer Abbaiah, who lives on the village outskirts near forested hills.

Abbaiah had tied three cows and two calves in his shed that night. On Friday morning, he found the mauled bodies of the calves and alerted forest and animal husbandry officials. Officials confirmed a leopard was responsible, though no pug marks were found due to dry soil.
