Lokmanthan 2024 begins today
Hyderabad:The fourth edition of the four-day-long Lokmanthan 2024, the largest gathering of nationalist thinkers and practitioners, is scheduled to begin at Shilapa Kala Vedika on November 21. The meet, which will end on November 24, will be attended by President of India Droupadi Murmu and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
The platform will engage and deliberate with eminent academicians, thinkers, philosophers, researchers, artists and activists to build bridges among people and spread the message of the oneness of ancient civilisation. Around 2,500 delegates from across the world would take part in the deliberations. Around 10 pavilions will feature traditional food, traditional healing systems, literature, culture in the form of dance, music, drama and plays, crafts and paintings and traditional games.
Lokmanthan is being conducted in South India for the first time. Former vice-president M. Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the exhibition on November 21. President Draupadi Murmu and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will take part in the inaugural function on November 22, while Union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman will chair the valedictory session on November 24. Union minister for culture Gajendera Singh Shekhwat and Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy will also participate in the Lokmanthan. The meet will have talks, exhibitions, cultural performances and a food festival.
