Mahabubnagar: Three people were killed, and 15 others sustained injuries when a private travel bus collided with a stationary lorry on National Highway 44 near Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district late Friday night.
According to police, the accident occurred when the bus was proceeding from Hyderabad to Bengaluru. The bus first dashed the rear side of a car and subsequently crashed into a stationary lorry, causing the lorry to overturn.
The injured passengers were rushed to government hospitals in Jadcherla and Mahabubnagar for treatment.
Police registered a case, and an investigation is underway, the police added.
