Malla Reddy Not Owner of Entire Land parcel at Suchitra: Revenue survey
Hyderabad: Former minister and Medchal MLA Malla Reddy’s name has surfaced in a land encroachment case with the revenue officials, who, on the completion of a survey, declared that, contrary to his claims, the entire two acres and 22 guntas of land parcel in survey No 82 (Suchitra) did not belong to him.
The BRS leader had earlier stated that the land parcel belonged to his son Bhadra Reddy and son-in-law Marri Rajsekhar Reddy, who is the incumbent BRS MLA of Malkajgiri. Claiming it to be their land, Malla Reddy and his son-in-law barged into the disputed site in May with their sidekicks and tried to pull down the temporary barricades that were put up there. Following the incident, a police case was booked against them, following which it was decided to survey so that the ownership dispute could be resolved, once and for all.
The survey report mentioned that one acre and 29 guntas belonged to the former minister, while 33 guntas belonged to other individuals.
Those who are fighting against Malla Reddy had lost a portion of their land for development of roads and other amenities. For years, they were claimed that they owned 33 guntas in survey number 82.
They told revenue officials that since 2016, the entire portion of land, including their 33 guntas, was under the control of Malla Reddy. They sought immediate demarcation and demanded the authorities to hand over their land to them.
A copy of the survey report has been submitted to the court and the Cyberabad police.
