Man Arrested in Jubilee Hills for Fraud and Document Forgery
HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills police on Sunday arrested one Kanti for allegedly committing a fraud and forging documents while employed with a private company. The police was acting on a complaint lodged against Kanti in February by Tippala Srija, 32.
According to the FIR, the complainant, along with the accused, started a jewellery company in July 2023. Srija said she had invested Rs 2.5 crore. In the last week of August 2023, Kanti reportedly filed a form with the
ministry of corporate affairs without the knowledge of the complainant by forging her signature on a resignation letter.

The same day, the accused allegedly called a board meeting without Srija’s knowledge. The meeting accepted her resignation and she was declared as no longer being a director.
She filed an RTI application in September and secured the fabricated resignation letter. She later discovered that Kanti ahd appointed his mother Sridevi Thonangi in her place.
After the complainant approached them, the Jubilee Hills police started a probe and found that Kanti had a similar case registered against him. His modus operandi was the same, the company was different.

It was later found that one case was registered against him at the Central Crime Station (CCS) and one hit-and-run case at the Madhapur police station. He was arrested from his residence in Shaikpet, Filmnagar.
