Hyderabad:A man collapsed and died in Adibatla while being taken to the police station for questioning. According to Adibatla inspector Raghavender Reddy, the officials received a call from Kurmalguda about three individuals moving suspiciously near a container. The police reached the spot and took the trio to the police station in an autorickshaw.
During the journey, one of the men, Mohd. Fauzi, complained of chest pain, the inspector said. “The police redirected their course and took him to a hospital. While receiving medical treatment, he died,” the inspector said.
Ibrahimpatnam ACP Raju, speaking to Deccan Chronicle, revealed that the deceased had stents in the heart, indicating a history of cardiac issues. “There are reports circulating that the man collapsed and died in the police station, but they are false. The man never entered the police station”, the ACP added. Authorities are investigating the incident further.
