Hyderabad: A man, 32, working with a private sector firm, died on the spot after a DCM van hit his bike in Imamguda under Abdullapur police limits in the early hours of Thursday. The deceased, Ch Kanaka Prasad, was riding his bike with his son when the speeding van hit him, police said. Prasad suffered a head injury and died on the spot. Locals caught hold of the van driver and shifted the kid to a private hospital. His condition is stated to be out of danger. Later, police arrested the driver and seized the van.
Man in dock for posting bad remarks on Holy Quran
A video went viral on social media in which a person named Siddharth Chaturvedi passed derogatory comments on Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed (SWT). A local social leader lodged a complaint with Chandrayangutta police against Siddharth Chaturvedi of Uttarakhand for giving derogatory speech against the Holy Quran and Prophet Mohammed (SWT) on social media. We received a complaint that the video was released on social media from Uttarakhand. We referred the case to cybercrime for further investigation, Chandryangutta police said.
