Man dies in road accident while bringing milk sachet at Abdullapurmet
Hyderabad: Tragedy struck a family after a motorcyclist Ch Kanaka Prasad died when a speeding van hit him while bringing a milk sachet at Abdullapurmet on Hyderabad-Vijayawada on Thursday morning.
However, his two-year-old son escaped with minor injuries. Prasad, a native of Kovvur in Andhra Pradesh, came to the city in search of livelihood. On Thursday morning, he came out with his son on a motorcycle to purchase a milk sachet from a nearby store when the van heading towards Hyderabad from Vijayawada hit him.
Death was instant for Prasad while his son escaped with injuries. On seeing the child with injuries and crying continuously, passers-by rushed to his rescue and with the help of the police, they admitted him to the Gandhi hospital for treatment.
The police booked a case under Section 304A (Causing death by negligence) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the van driver and shifted the body to the Gandhi hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
