Man Held for Circulating Objectionable Content against Actress Anasuya

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad cyber crime police apprehended a person in connection with a case relating to the circulation of defamatory and objectionable content against actress Anasuya Bharadwaj on social media platforms.
The police received a complaint from Anasuya Bharadwaj, stating that since December 23, 2025, several individuals and social media pages had been posting and circulating defamatory, abusive, and obscene comments against her on various online platforms, which caused harm to her reputation and dignity.
Based on her complaint, the police booked a case under Sections 75, 79, 336(4), 351, 356 of BNS and Sections 66E, 67 of IT Act, 2000–2008 and took up the investigation.
The accused Dorepalli Chanti (30) of Alwala Village in Thirumalagiri Mandal in Nalgonda district was operating the Instagram account @chantidhorapally.
The accused circulated objectionable electronic content targeting the complainant on social media platforms. The accused has been apprehended, and further legal action has been initiated against him, according to T. Sai Manohar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cybercrimes, Cyberabad.
