Hyderabad: The Madhapur SOT along with the Miyapur police on Wednesday arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly supplying ganja near Miyapur metro station. The man was nabbed under pillar no 603 during a routine check.
According to police, the accused was identified as Indra Kumar, a native of Nagarkurnool village. During routine check, his movement looked suspicious. On his interrogation, 6.5 kg of ganja was recovered from him.
Indra Kumar said he runs a fast food centre in Araku. While returning to his hometown for the Sankranti festival, he brought dried ganja from there and hatched a plan to sell it locally.
He had been previously arrested in an NDPS case by the Alwal police.
Rahul has no faith in Constitution: Medak MP
Hyderabad: BJP Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao on Wednesday asked if Rahul Gandhi has faith in democracy. He stated the Congress leader has not been able to stomach the defeat at the hands of the BJP.
Addressing the media through Facebook Live, he said, “It has become a habit for Rahul to make anti-India comments overseas. He hasn’t realised what he is saying. Will he fight against the country alongside China, Pakistan, Bangladesh or his mother’s homeland? Is this the language you speak after holding the Constitution in hand? He should choose which country he wants to go to, England or Italy.”
He further said Rahul has not matured and it's sad that he is speaking against the country after becoming an MP five times. The Congress leader should clarify if this is his party’s stand.
Padmaja takes over as PCOM
Hyderabad: First time in the history of South Central Railway, a woman on Wednesday took charge as principal chief operations manager (PCOM).
K. Padmaja belongs to the 1991 batch of Indian Railways Traffic Service. She assumed the charge at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in science and education. Prior to this assignment, she was working as Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM), SCR and was also handling the additional charge of principal chief operations manager (PCOM), in this zone.
Padmaja, during her 30-year-long career, held several key positions across SCR such as assistant commercial manager (ACM) in Hyderabad division; assistant traffic manager (ATM) and divisional operations manager (coal & goods), Secunderabad division and sr. divisional safety officer, Guntakal division, among others
