Nalgonda: A father-son duo on Saturday went missing in AMRP-Srisalam Left Bank Canal at Shaddulapuram of Kanagal mandal in the district.
They were identified as Suravaram Damodar, 36 and his son Panindra Varma, 14, natives of Shaddulapuram.
According to police, when Panidra slipped into water, his father tried to save him. However, both father and son were washed away in the canal due to the flow of water. Their relatives present at the site did not dare enter the canal.
Getting information, Kanagal police rushed to the place and began a search for the father-son duo with the help of locals.
