Mass Abandonment of Huskies in Hyderabad; Rescue Teams Save Six Dogs

Initial reports suggested that nearly 40 Huskies had been left in a truck by unidentified individuals.

Hyderabad: Six out of 40 abandoned Huskies dogs were rescued after a distress call on the morning of April 28 alerted the Aasra Foundation and Swan NGO.

The dogs were reportedly abandoned on the Shankarpally-Patancheru Road by unknown people. While a few dogs were taken by passersby, others had run into the forest seeking cooler shelter, and one dog was found dead. The remaining six Huskies were shifted to the NGO and rescue operations are underway to trace the remaining dogs.

The incident came to light following an emergency alert about the animals’ critical condition, prompting swift rescue efforts by Aasra Foundation and Swan NGO. Initial reports suggested that nearly 40 Huskies had been left in a truck by unidentified individuals.

By the time rescuers arrived, several dogs had been taken away by passersby, while others had fled into nearby forested areas in search of a cooler environment. One dog was found dead at the scene. Rescue teams managed to save six dogs, which were later shifted to an NGO facility for treatment and care.
