With just two weeks to go, Macca Masjid completes essential upgrades and prepares 2,250 kg of dates for iftar.
Hyderabad: With just two weeks left for the commencement of the holy month of Ramzan, the famed Macca Masjid is being spruced up. Many renovation works have already started. Approximately, 5, 000 faithful break their fast here.
The masjid authorities have arranged around 2,250 kg of quality dates for iftar.
Meanwhile, members of the masjid management held a meeting with government officials of various departments, including the minorities department here on Monday.
Explaining, the meeting and arrangements, the masjid’s superintendent Abdul Quadeer Siddiqui, said, “A review meeting took place at the mosque office today. Incidentally, civil works, electric, waterworks and sanitation works have been completed.” he said.
With a prayer hall that is 2,250 square feet, the mosque can accommodate around 10, 000 devotees. Abdul Sattar, secretary of Awaaz, a Muslim social committee, explained that the works were progressing well.
