Hyderabad: A 41-year-old mechanic died by suicide on Monday, Moghalpura police said on Tuesday. Pradeep Kumar died by suicide at his house in Lal Darwaza after his wife Kavita and two daughters left for her parent’s house at about 6 pm. Pradeep had lost his job at a car showroom, police said. Police registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances and shifted the body to the OGH mortuary for postmortem.
Delivery Agent Dies after Accidental Slip While Boarding MMTS Train
A 25-year-old delivery agent who was returning from a special puja for his wife on her birthday accidently slipped while trying to board an MMTS train and died at the Sitaphalmandi station, police said. K. Sanjeevaiah had come from Siddipet to perform the special puja at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple. He was heading home to celebrate the birthday of his wife Sandhya, Kacheguda inspector Kalpana said.
Labourer Electrocuted While Cleaning Drain
A 22-year-old labourer died of electrocution in Mekalmandi while he was cleaning a drain, Chatrinaka police said. The victim, Shai Sadiq of Fatimanagar, Wattapally, was hired by one Venugopal to clean his drainage. After Sadiq dug a pit to drain the overflowing sewage, Venugopal handed him a motor pump to evacuate the water. When Venugopal switched on the pump, Sadiq was knee-deep in sewage came into contact with a live wire from the pump and was electrocuted. Police registered a case of culpable homicide against Venugopal.
