Medak BJP MP Raghunandan Rao urges HMRL to extend metro line till Patancheru
Hyderabad: Medak BJP MP M Raghunandan Rao here on Tuesday requested Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) to extend the metro line from Miyapur to Patancheru keeping in view the interests of people in the locality.
In a memorandum submitted to HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy, Rao said Patancheru in Sangareddy district was one of the largest industrial areas in the Asian continent. The road traffic in this industrial corridor has been increasing day by day, resulting in a significant number of accidents.
“Given the growing traffic in this area, I would like to request the extension of the metro line from Miyapur to Patancheru as early as possible,” he said.
Extending the metro line to Patancheru will greatly alleviate traffic congestion and enhance safety for commuters. Additionally, it will provide a reliable and efficient mode of transportation for the many workers and residents in this industrial hub, Rao added.
“I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with the officers concerned to discuss the proposed extension of the metro line from Miyapur to Patancheru. I believe this meeting would be instrumental in addressing the logistics and planning required for this important project,” he said.
