Medak: A father allegedly killed his son over a severe betting habit in Bagitrathpally village of Chinnasankaram mandal in Medak district.
The deceased, identified as Mukesh Kumar (28), reportedly lost a staggering Rs. 2 crore to betting. According to family reports, Mukesh, a railway employee, continued gambling despite repeated warnings from his father, Satyanarayana.
Vexed by his son's actions, Satyanarayana reportedly attacked Mukesh with an iron rod leading to death. The family claims they were forced to sell property due to Mukesh's addiction. The deceased is survived by his wife and two children.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
