Medigadda Probe: Justice Ghose Probe Gets Two More Months
Hyderabad:The Telangana government on Saturday extended the term of the Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose Commission of Inquiry by two more months. The original term of the commission was to expire on June 30. The commission received its first extension of two months till August 31, and on Saturday, the government gave another two months for the probe to be completed.
It may be recalled that the Justice Ghose-led commission of inquiry was set up to probe alleged irregularities in construction of Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme by the previous BRS led government in Telangana.
Currently, Justice Ghose is in the process of cross-examining witnesses who had previously followed summons and deposed before the commission, or those who voluntarily submitted affidavits related to the construction of the three barrages.
