MHA Issues Look Out Circular, Seizes Passport
The Bureau of Immigration seized BRS MLA Shakeel Aamer's passport and restricted his travel to other countries either by Air, road and sea routes

NIZAMABAD: In view of several cases pending against former BRS MLA Mohammad Shakeel Aamer, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued Look Out Circular (LOC) preventing him from travelling to travel foreign countries. The Bureau of Immigration seized his passport and restricted his travel to other countries either by Air, road and sea routes. Central agencies kept vigil on movements of former Bodhan MLA Shakil.
All sections of people including political scores are curiously waiting for whether a former BRS MLA will be arrested or not. Following the death of his mother Shafgupta Adeeb, Shaki Aamer returned from Dubai and now he has been staying in his native Bodhan Assembly constituency for the last two days. He is busy with family customs and the last rites of his mother.
Former BRS MLAs, other leaders and others visited Shakil’s residence in Shakkarnagar in Bodhan and expressed their condolences. Shakil’s son Raheel was involved in a road accident case at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad. In this case, Shakil Aamer faced charges for threatening police officials and tried to escape his son from the case. As a result, Hyderabad police registered cases against him.
In addition, former BRS MLA Shakil also faced high level irregularities charges in custom milling rice (CMR) in Bodhan. The family members of Shakil run a few rice mills in Nizamabad district and defaulted in supplying the rice to government agencies. To evade all the cases, Shakil Aamer had been living in Dubai for the last one year.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior police officer said that former BRS MLA Mohammad Shakil Aamer is ready to cooperate with the police in various cases. ‘Mr Shakil is busy with family formalities of his mother’s death. We will take further action after verifying the situation’, he said. On the other hand, Shakil family members also approached courts stating the CMR and road accidents cases are false.
