Minister Komatireddy Offers ₹25 Lakh to Stampede Victim Sritej

Hyderabad:Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday met Sritej's father at the hospital and handed over a Rs 25 lakh cheque from Komatireddy Pratheek Foundation, which was established after his late son. Sritej suffered serious injuries due to the stampede at the Sandhya Theatre during the premier show of the Pushpa-2 film. His mother Revathi died on the spot in the mishap.

Komatireddy interacted with Sritej's father Bhaskar and inquired about his son's health condition. The minister assured Bhaskar that he would extend his support until his son is fully recovered. Bhaskar's wife Revathi had donated her liver to her husband and gave him life. He also promised to pay the liver transplantation expenses from the CMRF.

"As a father, you have the responsibility to protect two children while taking care of his (Sritej) health. I will support the family financially. Movies shall make people happy, but the loss of life is sad", the minister commented.

Later, Komatireddy interacted with the doctors and other medical teams to inquire about the health condition of the boy and urged them to assist medically for the boy to recover well.
