Hyderabad: In a joint operation, the South-East Zone Task Force along with Langar Houz police, apprehended two minors involved in a string of motorcycle thefts, on Wednesday. Four stolen bikes, valued at `2.20 lakh were recovered from their possession.
The detained minors, all residents of Narsingi, confessed to stealing bikes to fund their lavish lifestyle and habits, police said adding that the thefts occurred within Langar Houz and Narsingi police station limits.
"During interrogation, the suspects admitted to being close friends who got enticed to lavish lives and unable to finance their bad habits they conspired to steal bikes," said additional commissioner (Task Force), Ande Srinivasa Rao.
