Karimnagar: A major accident was narrowly averted when an escort vehicle in Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka's convoy collided with another vehicle near Pembarathi village Arch on the outskirts of Jangaon district on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the driver of the escort vehicle, which also carried SI Chennakeshavulu accompanying the Deputy CM, steered sharply to the left to avoid a rear-end collision with another convoy vehicle. The sudden manoeuvre caused the vehicle to lose control, veering off the road and crashing into nearby trees and bushes.
Fortunately, both SI Chennakeshavulu and the driver escaped uninjured in the mishap.
