MLC Srinivas criticizes Dil Raju for humiliating Telangana culture

Hyderabad: MLC Desapati Srinivas on Thursday slammed film producer Dil Raju for making demeaning remarks against the people of Telangana stating that those in the State ould give preference only to toddy and mutton ignoring to watch movies. The film producer also said the people in Andhra Pradesh would give more preference to movies.

Dil Raju said that there was no vibe for movies released in Telangana and the same can be found in Andhra Pradesh. “If Dil Raju believes that there is no vibe for films in Telangana, he can stop making movies and open a toddy and mutton shop so that he will get a vibe in the State,” he said.

“If you (Dil Raju) need a vibe, then open a shop. When you say that there is no vibe for films in Telangana, then why did you ask Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and ensure an increase in ticket prices for the movies. Why did Dil Raju manage to get an order from the State government to increase ticket prices in the Nizam area?” Srinivas asked.

Speaking to media persons, Srinivas said Dil Raju was such a person, who never extended support for separate Telangana movement and the people in the State. While speaking at an event organized in Nizamabad to promote his upcoming movie “Sankranti Ki Vastunnam” starring victory Venkatesh and others, Dil Raju humiliated Telangana culture and further stated that the people in the State have no vibe for movies and only prefer toddy and mutton.
