MMC Gets Tough On Illegal Hoardings
“Strict legal action will be taken against those who set up hoardings without taking permission”: MMC commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy

HYDERABAD: The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) has decided to act tough against illegal hoardings. The corporation also directed shop owners to obtain trade licenses and display them prominently in their shops.
“Strict legal action will be taken against those who set up hoardings without taking permission,” said MMC commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy after inspecting Keshavnagar, Hanumannagar Colony, Brindavan Colony, and West Hanumannagar in Boduppal.
The commissioner came across illegal dumping of debris at these places and non-functional equipment at a primary health care centre (PHC). MCC officials were instructed to repair the equipment from the PHC.
With regard to the debris, he directed officials to contact the respective plot owners and initiate immediate disposal. According to MCC officials, hoardings and advertising boards installed without permission will be removed from electric poles and public places.
