Hyderabad: A teenager was run over while attempting to overtake a lorry, Ghatkesar police said on Monday. The victim M. Jeshwanth, 18, was a resident of Jameelapet in Bibinagar mandal, Nalgonda district.
Jeswanth, who had dropped out after intermediate, was assisting his father in photography and agriculture. He was travelling towards the Warangal highway when the accident occurred.
Ghatkesar sub-inspector Shekar said Jeshwanth was riding a scooter without a helmet and was talking on his mobile phone at the time of the accident. He was attempting to overtake a lorry and did not notice a car behind him trying to do the same. He got caught between the two vehicles, fell and suffered severe head injuries.
