Nizamabad: Relatives of the bride and groom engaged in a fight over the number of mutton pieces served in the curry at a wedding party in the Navipet area of Nizamabad on Wednesday. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
According to the police, the brawl occurred at a wedding hall during the post-wedding celebration of a woman from Navipet and a man from Nandipet.
The groom’s relatives complained about being served fewer mutton pieces, which led to an ugly fight between the bride and groom’s sides, as the bride’s family had organized the meal.
The two parties attacked each other with cooking ladles, stones, and sticks. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the wedding venue and managed to calm the situation. A case has been registered, and eight people injured in the fight were shifted to Nizamabad Government Hospital for treatment.
