Nagarjuna reacts to demolition

Actor Nagarjuna has expressed deep disappointment over the demolition of the N Convention Centre, a property owned by him, calling the actions taken by the authorities unlawful and contrary to existing legal orders. The demolition was carried out despite ongoing court cases and stay orders, which Nagarjuna emphasized in a public statement aimed at protecting his reputation.

Nagarjuna in an X post clarified that the land on which the N Convention Centre stands is private property (Patta land) and asserted that no part of the structure encroaches upon any tank plan. He further explained that there was already a stay order in place preventing any demolition, issued in response to an earlier notice deemed illegal by his legal team.

The actor criticized the authorities for acting on misinformation and carrying out the demolition without prior notice, which he argued was a clear violation of the law. He stated that as a law-abiding citizen, he would have complied with any court order requiring demolition, had the court ruled against him.

Nagarjuna's statement also highlighted his intention to seek appropriate legal remedies in response to what he views as wrongful actions by the authorities. He emphasized that his public statement is meant to correct any misconceptions about illegal construction or encroachment associated with his property.

The case is expected to continue in the courts as Nagarjuna seeks to address the legal and reputational issues stemming from the demolition.
