Modi Is Right Leader For India: Naidu

Naidu noted that the PM's leadership focused on ensuring the benefits of progress reached every citizen, citing achievements ranging from household welfare initiatives to advances in science, technology and national security

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying India had maintained inflation at around 3.5 per cent despite global challenges, including wars, disrupted supply chains, volatile energy markets and slowing major economies.

Addressing the NDA parliamentary party meeting in New Delhi, Naidu said, “India remained stable and resilient at a time when much of the world was facing uncertainty.

Today, the world is in turmoil. Wars, fractured supply chains, volatile energy markets, slowing major economies and uncertainty across continents have created enormous challenges.” Yet inflation in India has remained at around 3.5 per cent, among the lowest among major economies in the world. That reflects the leadership being provided by our Prime Minister Modi."

At the meeting, a resolution of gratitude was adopted to mark Modi completing 12 years in office and becoming India’s longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister. Naidu praised his governance, vision and global standing.

Moving the resolution, the Chief Minister said it was an honour to acknowledge Narendra Modi’s contributions to national development and his commitment to the principle of Nation First. He said the PM’s public service journey, from serving as Gujarat chief minister in 2001 to leading the country, reflected dedication, consistency and transformational leadership.

Naidu said Modi had consistently met public expectations through governance reforms, innovation and decisive policymaking. Describing him as a tireless leader, Naidu said he had never seen the Prime Minister fatigued despite decades in public life. "He is always energetic and inspires others through his commitment and work ethic," he said.

The chief minister also highlighted Modi’s international stature, saying he enjoyed widespread respect across the world and had enhanced India’s global standing.

Naidu said the NDA was formed not merely to win elections but to serve national interests, adding that the alliance’s repeated electoral successes reflected public faith in governance and development.

He said Modi’s vision of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” had combined economic growth with cultural heritage, innovation and digital transformation.

Expressing confidence in India’s future, Naidu said the country’s aspiration to become the world’s largest economy could be achieved under Modi’s leadership.

Describing the present period as a defining moment in the nation’s history, he termed it the beginning of a “golden era” and reaffirmed the NDA’s commitment to building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
