Bhadadri-Kothagudem:Members of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Tuesday visited Godavari floods-affected areas in Manuguru, Ashwapuram and Burgampadu mandals in the district.
The NDMA members, Mothilal, Ishwaraya Ravi Paul and Srinivasa Chary, got the details of the damage and inquired about the measures taken to minimise loss of property and human lives.
Additional district collector D. Venugopal presented a report on the loss caused by the floods. He also highlighted the damage to the crops and electricity lines in the flood-affected seven mandals in the district.
He said that indigenous boats and drones were used to rescue people stranded by the natural calamity.
The members directly interacted with people of flood-hit areas and got details about the damage to the crops and livestock.
