Rameshwaram Cafe Owner's Apology Video Draws Flak from Netizens

Hyderabad: Co-founder of Rameshwaram Cafe issued an apology with regard to the inspection conducted at its Hyderabad outlet but it didn't go well with the netizens, as many of them said it never sounded like an apology.

Telangana food safety team on May 23 conducted inspections at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Madhapur and found 100 kg of Urad Dal, 10 kg curd, 8L milk expired.

In a minute-long video, Rameshwaram Cafe Co-founder Raghavendra Rao issued an apology. " We are to deliver the best product as promised and use the best ingredients forever. We have made little mistakes and I sincerely apologise for it. I want to convey to all my customers that we follow APJ Abdul Kalam," he said.

"Our vision is to play globally and we can't make a single mistake. I take this as a lesson and I told my entire team to correct each and every step to make sure that we won't go wrong anyway," he added.

Raghavendra Rao said that the raw materials being used are of premium quality. "I'm promising all of you that all our ingredients, raw materials are of premium quality. The vegetables that we use are of premium quality. I request the food safety department to do inspections on what kind of vegetables we use. Things which they have identified are valid and we are here to correct ourselves," he further said.

However, netizens said the video never sounded like an apology. Here's how they reacted.

"Why does it look like he’s intimidating us and not apologizing," said a user.

"He is desperate for everyone to believe him, but his words have lost value. He should take action and show rather than pointing finger at us to better believe him," said another user.

A third user said, "Request or warning ?"

"Overrated place. Stopped buying from them. Too expensive and nothing great about the taste. He is blabbering in this video and makes it sound as if Shri APJ Kalam as his business partner," said the fourth user.
