New 132/33 KV Substation at Kautala to Help Consumers in 4 Mandals

TG Transco officials noted that the dual-substation setup will reduce power interruptions and provide an alternative supply source in emergencies.

Adilabad: The construction of the 132/33 KV substation at Kautala in Asifabad Circle of Sirpur Kagaznagar Division has been completed and will be operational within a week. Developed by TG Transco at an estimated cost of Rs 31.19 crore, the substation features 165 installed towers, 43.2 km of transmission lines, and 10/16 MVA power transformers.

Circle superintending engineer R. Sesha Rao said that the new facility will improve power quality and stabilise electricity supply for consumers in the Chinthalamanepalli, Bejjur, Kautala, and Sirpur (T) mandals of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, particularly during the summer months. Previously, power was routed through the 132 KV Esgaon substation, which suffered frequent disruptions due to its location in forest areas.
