NIMS to hold training in brain bypass techniques
Hyderabad: The Neurological Society of India, alongside Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), will host an intensive microsurgery and micro-neurovascular anastomosis training programme on November 16 and 17 at the trauma block auditorium at NIMS. This hands-on course aims to sharpen skills crucial for brain bypass surgeries.
Additional professor of neurosurgery Dr Y. Thirumal will be imparting training for 12 neurosurgeons from various parts of India. Participants will delve into advanced intracranial vascular anastomosis techniques. The programme will also be guided by a panel of experts, including the head of neurosurgery Dr Suchanda Bhattacharjee, Dr Krish Sridhar, Dr Manas Panigrahi, and Dr Vamsi.
Dr Bhattacharjee said equipping neurosurgeons with these precise skills is vital for better patient care.
