Nizamabad: Chevella BJP MP Konda Vishveshwar Reddy said Nizamabad district tops in Telangana state for highest enrolment of BJP membership. He said the fact that the district notched 3.50 lakh members shows its strength. He said at least 200 members should be enrolled from each polling booth.
Vishveshwar Reddy attended BJP membership drive here on Tuesday as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said the BJP is the biggest party in the country with highest BJP membership drive. He said the BJP will support its every activist.
The BJP MP alleged that the Congress tried to flare up clashes in the country on the lines of Bangladesh. He said party leaders should achieve membership targets and invite all sections of people into BJP fold. Activists should visit every household and encourage people to get enrolled as members, he suggested.
Reacting on MLAs joining in other political parties, Vishveshwar Reddy said the BJP is against the defection of leaders. BRS and Congress are equally responsible for the encouragement of defections, he said.
BJP district president K. Dinesh Kumar, Nizamabad urban and Armoor MLAs Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, Paidi Rakesh Reddy and others were present.
