Hyderabad: The final truck carrying materials from outstation exhibitors left the premises of the 84th Annual All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish) on Friday evening, marking the end of this year’s event.
Over 46 days, Numaish attracted 20,70,350 visitors, with over two lakh tickets sold online. As per tradition, the event concluded on Monday with the song "Chalte Chalte Yun Hi Koi" from the film Pakeezah, as the lights dimmed and the curtains came down.
Looking ahead, organisers are preparing to launch a fully functional mobile app for next year’s edition. The app will assist visitors with ticket purchases, stall navigation, promotional discounts and event updates. B. Surender Reddy, secretary of the Exhibition Society, expressed satisfaction with this year’s turnout.
“We had an absolute response this year. We are all set to come up with the new talent and exciting performances,” he said. Suresh Kumar, who heads publicity, highlighted the addition of T-Square, a dedicated space inspired by New York’s Times Square.
“This year, T-Square was a major attraction. Next year, we plan to expand it with interactive activities where visitors can showcase their talents,” he stated.
Aditya Margan, adviser for business and customer relations, acknowledged that government stalls were fewer this year due to delayed coordination. “Though we allocated spaces for various state exhibitors, some were unable to participate,” he explained.
He added that the Innovation Pavilion was introduced on an experimental basis this year. “T-Hub managed the pavilion, showcasing 32 start-ups. Next year, we plan to expand the section, incorporating more technology and innovation stalls,” he said.
