Observe birth and death anniversary of constable Kistaiah: Mudiraj Mahasabha
Warangal: The state government must observe the birth and death anniversary of the separate Telangana movement martyr, constable P. Kistaiah, Mudiraj Mahasabha general secretary Palleboina Ashoka demanded on Sunday.
He was speaking at an event at Hanamkonda where the Mudiraj Mahasabha, under the leadership of district unit president Bayya Swamy and secretary Puli Rajinikanth. paid tributes to Kistaiah.
Kistaiah who belonged to Mudiraj community actively participated in the movement and sacrificed his life for achieving statehood, Ashok said.
Because of the thousands of people like Kistaiah who participated in the Telangana movement, the long-lasting dream of separate state became a reality, he said. The previous BRS government did not recognise the efforts of Telangana udyamakarulu and those who sacrificed their lives fighting for a separate state.
The Congress, which is completing one year in power, must recognise the sacrifice done by Kistaiah as the first Telangana martyr who belonged to the Backward Class community, and observe his birth and death anniversaries. A statue of Kistaiah should be installed on Tank Bund in Hyderabad, Ashok demanded.
Association members Puli Vikram, Bussa Mallesham, S. Somaiah, Raj Kumar, Naveen, Krishna, Ramesh, Shoban, Sambamurthy, Ravi, Prabhakar, Satish, Mahendar, Umesh, Vasu, Raju, Shekar, Shiva, Devander, Hari Krishna and Vijendar were present at the event.
