Officials Told to Complete H-CITI, Prep Action Plan
Hyderabad:Municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) principal secretary M. Dana Kishore directed officials to complete 38th Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure Project (H-CITI) with `3,500 crore and beautifications works with `150 crore and prepare an action plan to execute these tasks.
Officials were directed to invite tenders for the construction of flyovers and underpasses at six junctions around KBR Park to be built with `1,230 crore as part of H-CITI Phase- I.
Instructions were given to GHMC officials during a review meeting on Thursday. “We will first move 4,100 electricity poles obstructing 125 traffic junctions within three months and then take up the development and beautification work of junctions,” said a GHMC official.
“We will also prepare a road development plan for each project in addition to a comprehensive plan to execute the H-CITI project and another meeting related to it is scheduled on next Thursday,” he added.
K. Shiva Kumar Naidu, GHMC additional commissioner of Lakes and Housing was instructed to estimate the land acquisition cost and ensure property owners are compensated.
To further pace up H-CITI works, GHMC commissioner K. Ilambarithi was directed to constitute a project implementation interdepartmental coordination committee with officials of the relevant government departments.
During the review meeting, HMWS&SB managing director K. Ashok Reddy, TGSPDCL chairman and managing director Musharraf Ali Faruqui and senior officials of various wings including the traffic police were present.
Elsewhere, Kishore inspected the Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, stretch along with civic and government officials. A feasibility Study will be done to widen the road at Virinchi Hospital and develop a link road at Pension Office in Banjara Hills.
